Skoda has unveiled the flagship version of the fourth-generation Fabia compact hatchback with the traditional Monte Carlo name. The novelty received sports elements in the exterior and interior, and also acquired the maximum set of equipment.
The Monte Carlo model can be distinguished from the standard Skoda Fabia hatchback thanks to the contrasting black roof, pillars, exterior mirror housings and side skirts. In addition, the car has got a rear spoiler, a decorative diffuser and special wheels. The drag coefficient was 0.28, which was achieved, among other things, due to active dampers in the radiator grille.
As for the interior, sports front seats with enhanced lateral support and carbon-look decorative inserts appeared there. In addition, standard equipment includes LED lighting and a 10.25-inch virtual instrument panel.
In addition, the available equipment includes adaptive cruise control operating at speeds up to 210 km / h, a multimedia complex with a 64 GB SSD drive for storing navigation maps, five USB-C standard connectors, and a wireless charging station for mobile gadgets. .
The new Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo will be offered with standard petrol engines. The base engine is a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated 80-horsepower triple, working together with a five-speed manual gearbox. At the top of the line is a 1.5-liter “turbo-four” that produces 150 hp. and 250 Nm of torque. The unit, which is paired with a seven-band “robot”, allows the car to dial “hundred” in 8 seconds.
European sales of the new Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo will begin in the spring of 2022. Prices will be announced later.
