Nissan has announced 27 new models by 2030, according to the company’s press service. At the same time, 19 car models will be electric.

The Japanese automaker is developing new cars under the long-term Nissan Ambition 2030 plan, which plans to strengthen its position in the electric car market. However, if earlier it was said about 23 new models, including 15 electric cars, now the plans have been revised upwards. So, for example, in 2024, an electric car will debut, created specifically for the Chinese market.

By 2026, Nissan will invest ¥2 trillion (nearly $14.7 billion) in the development of hybrids and electric cars. According to the company’s plans, in the same 2026 in Japan, 58% of Nissan’s sales will come from electrified vehicles. In Europe, this figure will reach 98%. Global sales of brand electric cars by 2030 will account for 55% of the total.

Recall that in 2021 the company demonstrated four concepts: the Chill-Out coupe-crossover, the Hang-Out crossover, the Surf-Out pickup truck and the Max-Out roadster. In the future, they may become the first novelties developed under the Nissan Ambition 2030 plan.
