Introduced electric Smart from Brabus

The debut of the first all-wheel drive Smart in the history of the brand took place.

Debuted in the spring of 2022, the #1 Smart crossover finally got the long-awaited “charged” version from Brabus. They waited for the novelty for a reason: it is not only the largest and most powerful Smart in the history of the brand, but also the first with an all-wheel drive system implemented by two electric motors. The premiere of the model took place in China, which became the new “homeland” for the company, which came under the wing of the Chinese holding company Geely. Smart #1 Brabus differs from the standard crossover in appearance and surpasses it in power and dynamics.

The design of the exterior and interior of the Smart #1 Brabus could not be kept secret – spy photos of the novelty were leaked to the Web a month and a half before the debut. The “charged” crossover has an aggressive body kit, a massive spoiler and red accents on the body. This Smart put 19-inch wheels, aluminum pedals and red seat belts.

The Smart #1 Brabus gets a twin-engine powertrain, with a standard 272-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle assisted by an additional 156-horsepower front-mounted motor. The peak output of the installation reaches 428 horsepower.

The battery capacity is not mentioned, but the dynamic characteristics are indicated: from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour, a “charged” electrocross accelerates in 3.7 seconds, and the maximum speed is electronically limited at around 180 kilometers per hour.

Prices have not yet been made public, but it can be assumed that the novelty will be significantly more expensive than the regular Smart #1, which costs in China from 190,000 yuan (48,000 manats). The start of sales in China is scheduled for autumn.
