The first shots of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taiser crossover have appeared. This model is designed for India and is a slightly redesigned Maruti Suzuki Fronx. You won’t have to wait long for the new product: prices for the Indian market will be announced on April 3, and the start of deliveries is scheduled for the end of this month or the beginning of the next. The Urban Cruiser Taiser will be Toyota’s smallest (and most affordable) SUV in India, but will also be richly equipped.
The Autocar India portal will feature a multimedia system with a nine-inch screen, a head-up display and all-round cameras on the Urban Cruiser Taisor. All this is available for the “twin” Fronx. The power plant of the models will also be the same: a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine. At the same time, Toyota may also offer a 1.0-liter Boosterjet engine for the crossover. The competitors of the new product include Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.
