Porsche is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, and so it’s no surprise that the Stuttgart company is looking to make a splash.
The Porsche Mission X certainly does, and if it accomplishes its mission-to become the fastest road-legal car on the infamously tricky Nürburgring Nordschleife-it will make an even bigger one.
That is a big ask, because the Mission X is an electric vehicle, and it’d have to topple the $2.7 million Mercedes-AMG One hybrid supercar, which has the benefit of the much greater energy density of gasoline to rely on, and the Tesla Model S Plaid Performance Pack that just set a production EV record there.
