Nissan showed the X-Trail off-road crossover and the Sentra racing sedan. Before the start of the world’s largest tuning industry exhibition SEMA in Las Vegas, the Nissan brand presented its projects for the show – the two main new products of the Japanese automaker were the Rogue crossover, known here as the X-Trail, and the Sentra sedan. The models received radically different modifications – the crossover was prepared for off-road conquest, and the sedan was adapted for fast driving on an asphalt race track. True, serial prospects for both projects have not been reported.
The Nissan Rugged Rogue Project is a vision of a family crossover ready for the outdoors. The car received a Nismo Off Road suspension lift kit, 18-inch Nismo Off Road wheels with Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003 off-road tires, a sports exhaust and a new body kit – extended wheel arches and a carbon fiber spoiler, front bumper protection and roof rails.
A power rack is installed with mounts for a kayak and a mountain bike, on which, like on the front bumper and hood, there is an additional Nismo Off Road light. The Nissan Sentra DET was inspired by the cars of the Sentra Cup racing series held in Canada.
The sedan gets a 2.0-liter petrol turbo engine, complemented by a stainless steel sports exhaust, coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission. The car features Nismo coilover suspension, tuned with the help of professional GT4 racer Brian Heitkotter. Visually, the sedan stands out with 18-inch Nismo LM-RS6 wheels with Yokohama Advan Neova AD09 tires, and the interior features Recaro Sportster CS front seats and a Nismo GT gear shift knob.
