Tesla has released a children’s Cybertruck for $1,500. The electric pickup truck, the production version of which finally debuted in early December, now has a smaller version. The Mini Cybertruck is designed for children aged 6 to 12 years. Like the “adult” model, it is equipped with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery, and lasts up to five hours on a full charge.
The dimensions of the mini-copy of the Tesla Cybertruck are not disclosed, but the maximum load capacity is known – 68 kilograms. The pickup truck is equipped with LED headlights and taillights, rubber tires and an adjustable driver’s seat.
The pickup motor develops up to 500 watts with a rated power of 350 watts. Speed is limited to 16 kilometers per hour, but parents of the youngest Cybertruck owners can force it to be reduced to eight. The battery will provide up to 20 kilometers of autonomous travel, depending on the surface, speed and weight of the child.
The Tesla online store is already accepting orders for the small Cybertruck. Deliveries are scheduled to begin at the end of December, but the company is not guaranteeing that everyone will receive their pickup before the Christmas holidays.
