Toyota introduced a designer version of the Aygo X cross hatchback. It was created in partnership with the fashion brand Undercover and its founder Jun Takahashi. The novelty will be released in the amount of five thousand copies. The car is distinguished by body color, decor and black wheels. A special modification is based on the Exclusive standard configuration, and it is driven by a liter three-cylinder “aspirated” engine.
Hatchback Toyota Aygo X Undercover will be released with a circulation of 5 thousand copies. The special version was created in collaboration with fashion designer Jun Takahashi, therefore, to some extent, it is based on his non-conformist philosophy.
The main differences from the regular cars are a gray body tint created specifically for the collaboration, coral red accents, black 18-inch wheels and Chaos/Balance decals on the roof.
The machine is driven by a liter three-cylinder “aspirated” with a capacity of 72 horsepower and 93 Nm of torque. You can choose a gearbox: in addition to the five-speed “mechanics”, there is a variator with a mechanical first gear.
The two-tone color means that the Aygo X Undercover is based on the top version of the Exclusive. Therefore, inside you can find a 9-inch touchscreen display, a four-speaker audio system with a subwoofer, and wireless charging.
In fact, the Aygo X Undercover is just one example of collaboration between automakers and fashion brands. Of the latter, we can recall the joint project of Mercedes-Benz and Moncler called Mondo G. This is a sculpture that looks like a G-Class SUV, but with wheels and a roof made in the style of down jackets.
