The Japanese electric pickup truck Toyota Hilux EV will eventually become a production model. Introduced at the end of 2022, the Toyota Hilux EV electric pickup truck will eventually become a production model. The Hilux Revo BEV will be produced in Thailand, where the pickup truck accounts for half of the Japanese brand’s sales. There is no word on whether the car will appear outside the country, but given that the company considers the Isuzu D-Max EV to be the main competitor of the new product, then in the future it is quite likely that the electric pickup truck will enter the same markets where its rival will be presented.
Toyota management made official confirmation of the serial production of the electric Hilux pickup truck in an interview with Reuters, but no statements regarding the characteristics of the product model have yet been made.
Probably, the final specifications of the vehicle have not yet been approved and will follow later, closer to the presentation of the pickup truck and its release into open commercial sale.
