Porsche has officially unveiled the most powerful modification of the new generation Cayenne crossover. It’s called the Turbo E-Hybrid and is available in both standard and cross-coupe versions.
The machine is equipped with a rechargeable hybrid power plant. It consists of a petrol turbocharged V8 with a capacity of 599 hp. and an electric motor for 176 hp. The total return in this case is 739 hp. Up to 100 km / h, such a Cayenne accelerates in 3.5 seconds.
The capacity of the traction battery is 25.9 kilowatt-hours. The machine is equipped with an 11 kilowatt on-board charger, which allows you to charge the battery pack from a household power outlet in just 2.5 hours.
The company claims that the range on electric traction has increased compared to the previous version, but does not provide specific figures. For comparison, the Tesla Model X all-electric crossover of similar size is equipped with a 100 kilowatt-hour battery and can travel more than 500 kilometers on a single charge.
The premiere of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid took place in North America. Deliveries of machines to the first customers there will begin in the second quarter of 2024, but orders are already being accepted. The minimum cost of a crossover in the US is $148.5 thousand. The cross-coupe is $4.5 thousand more expensive.
