An unknown company will release an electric hypercar with acceleration to 60 mph in 1.5 seconds. The two-door Ararkis Sandstorm will have a dual-motor powertrain with a 115-kilowatt-hour battery and, through sound profiles, will offer a new way to personalize the car. The circulation of the hypercar will be 20 copies. Price – from two million dollars.
The company Ararkis Automobili (apparently, this is a distorted name of the planet from the Dune universe – Arrakis), registered in London’s Covent Garden, has promised to release the fastest road-going electric hypercar in the world. The Sandstorm coupe will be able to accelerate to “hundreds” in 1.5 seconds (like the McMurtry Spéirling) and reach a “maximum speed” of 300 kilometers per hour. True, so far the car exists only in renderings, and there is every reason to believe that it will suffer the same fate as Spyros Chaos.
Ararkis was founded by businessman of South African origin Priven Reddy, who has launched several IT startups and EON Aerospace, a developer of supersonic passenger airliners. Reddy has no experience in automotive manufacturing, and from official Ararkis communications it is not clear who will assemble Sandstorm, from what components and at what stage the entire project is. Nevertheless, a circulation of 20 copies and a price of two million dollars are stated.
