Audi has unveiled a conceptual sports wagon with the laconic name E. It is aimed at the Chinese market and is the first in a new concept: the brand is now written not as Audi, but as AUDI, and the four rings are no longer its emblem.
The AUDI E is close in size to the Audi A5: 4870 millimeters long, 1990 wide, 1460 high and 2950 millimeters between the axles.
It is not easy to recognize the brand of the car: there are no design solutions typical of cars from Ingolstadt. The place of the emblems with four rings is occupied by the AUDI inscriptions everywhere.
The dominant feature of the interior is a cluster of five displays, occupying the entire front panel. It combines the screens of the external rear-view cameras, the instrument panel, the central and passenger multimedia displays. Physical keys remain only on the steering wheel and doors. Microfiber and light wood are used in the trim.
The AUDI E platform was developed jointly by the German concern and the Chinese SAIC. Two electric motors develop a total of 775 hp and 800 Nm. Acceleration to 100 takes 3.6 seconds. The car travels up to 700 kilometers on a 100-kilowatt battery. With ultra-fast charging, you can replenish the battery for 370 kilometers in just 10 minutes.
