Toyota‘s racing division Gazoo Racing has released the first photos of the updated GR Corolla hot hatch, but so far under camouflage, Carscoops reported. The car will receive a more aggressive aerodynamic body kit and a modified chassis setup, as well as increased torque.
The updated car will receive a larger rear wing and new hood vents. In addition, the front fenders will feature Porsche 911 GT3-style vents and a modified side skirt design. Otherwise, the hot hatch’s appearance will remain unchanged.
According to Gazoo Racing, the charged Corolla will have increased torque and new settings, which, according to GR, will make it even more maneuverable on the track. Toyota did not mention an increase in power, which means that the 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine may retain its 304 hp.
As part of the upgrade for the 2025 model year, the car has already received increased torque: from the original 370 N m it was raised to 400 N m, and the car also has the ability to install an automatic transmission. Before this update, only mechanics were installed in the Toyota GR Corolla.
The updated GR Corolla is expected to debut in the fall of 2025.
