Hyundai has launched an updated Elantra sedan. The car debuted in its native South Korea, where it is sold under the name Avante and is gradually losing the interest of buyers. Hyundai expects to improve sales figures thanks to a slightly refreshed, but retaining the same exterior style and an expanded list of equipment. In fact, the update was limited to this: the interior remained almost without innovations, the “technique” did not change.
Hyundai Elantra/Avante received a facelift with the update. The radiator grille is now divided in two by a body-colored bar, the narrower front optics have taken a different position, stepping back from the side edge of the hood, and air intakes have appeared on the sides of the front bumper.
Behind – a new bumper with modified proportions, which increased the length of the sedan by 60 millimeters, to 4710 millimeters. Width, height and wheelbase remain the same and are 1825 mm, 1420 mm and 2720 mm respectively. The lanterns connected by an LED strip have also been preserved. Restyling traditionally brought a change in the design of rims, as well as new body colors.
A fresh color scheme has also appeared in the cabin, which can be ordered in a light green hue using recycled materials. Also added USB-C connectors front and rear. Otherwise, everything is the same: the base Hyundai Elantra is offered with an analog instrument panel with a 4.2-inch screen in the center and an eight-inch display of the multimedia system, and in the “top” the sedan is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a touch screen.
In the domestic market, the novelty was estimated at least at 15 thousand dollars. For the hybrid version, they ask from 19.7 thousand dollars. So far, only the standard sedan has debuted, and updates to the sported N Line and the “charged” Elantra N will be presented later.
