Bloggers staged a Nissan GT-R battle against the new BMW M4 Competition. The participants in the race were two thoroughbred coupes of our day, representing, however, two eras: the rival for the Nissan GT-R, which has been produced since 2007, was the latest BMW M4 Competition, which premiered in 2021. The race showed that the old steel horse does not spoil the asphalt furrow even 15 years after the start of production! The two-sports race clearly illustrates the GT-R’s potential against its latest competitor, the technologically advanced M4 Competition.
Nissan has been updated numerous times throughout its life cycle and the 2018 race car has a 3.5-liter V6 turbo engine with 570 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque under the hood. The engine is combined with a 6-speed robotic gearbox and all-wheel drive.
As for the BMW M4 Competition, it has at its disposal a 510-horsepower 3.0-liter turbo engine, working in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission and proprietary xDrive all-wheel drive. The Japanese coupe is not only more powerful, but also a little lighter than its German rival.
