Declassified new electric crossover Hongqi

Brand Hongqi showed images of the new electric crossover. The model will be presented in the second half of 2023, and it will enter the so-called NEV family, new energy vehicles. According to unofficial information, the crossover, which so far appears under the E202 index, will receive intelligent all-wheel drive, air suspension and 800-volt electrical architecture, thanks to which it will be charged for 300 km of travel in just five minutes.

At the beginning of 2023, FAW published a global strategy for the development of new energy vehicles. Among other things, this plan called for the splitting of the Hongqi brand into four separate sub-brands: New Energy Vehicle (NEV), Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Luxury Vehicle and Sports Car. Everyone supposedly will have relative freedom in choosing a concept, design language and their own logo. And recently, the brand showed the firstborn of the NEV line – the E202 electric crossover.

Judging by the renders, the appearance of the SUV is a further evolution of the style created for Hongqi by Rolls-Royce native Giles Taylor. You can see narrow optics, carbon fiber body kit parts, lidar on the roof and the NEV logo in the form of wings.
