The three-door Land Rover Defender has been turned into a bright and luxurious convertible. Heritage Customs from the Netherlands presented the second copy of its Valiance Convertible project, which started in 2021 and involves turning the current generation Land Rover Defender 90 SUV into a convertible. Over the past time, two cars have been built – the first was the vintage Solihull Sand, and now the Dutch studio has made a more modern and bright Sunbeam Yellow car. Construction of the machine takes at least three months.
Experts deprive the three-door SUV of a hard roof, instead of which a tubular safety cage and an electrically operated soft top are installed. In this particular project, the frame and awning, as well as the bumpers and sills, are painted black, contrasting with the bright yellow shade of the body.
The stock wheels have been replaced with eye-catching 5-spoke two-tone wheels from Heritage Customs. The interior is trimmed in black leather with bright yellow stitching, and not only the seats, but also the dashboard, steering wheel and door cards are upholstered in expensive material.
The front panel received a decorative insert made of etched aluminum with a 3D pattern. A special feature of the demo convertible was the third passenger seat in the first row. The circulation of Valiance Convertible will not exceed five copies, and each car will be built at the request of a specific client. The cost is from 82,500 euros excluding the price of the original Land Rover Defender 90 for conversion.
