Kia showed the EV3 “battery-powered” crossover with a power reserve of 600 kilometers. The Korean brand has turned the concept car of the same name, shown last fall in Los Angeles, into a production model. The marketable Kia EV3 is positioned as a practical electric car that combines environmental friendliness, technology and design elements of its big brother EV9 with reduced dimensions close to the Hyundai Creta.
Externally, he got elements of modern Kia style, first used on the “older” EV9. Among the features are a rethought Tiger Face front end with a scattering of LEDs, squared wheel arches and a block design of wheel rims. The aerodynamic drag coefficient, which was achieved thanks to the streamlined silhouette and sloping roof, is 0.267.
In the cabin there is a cluster with a digital instrument panel and a multimedia system screen with the same diagonal of 12.3 inches. Between them is a separate five-inch touchscreen for climate control.
EV3 sales will start in South Korea, and then the electric car will appear in Europe and the UK. According to preliminary data, the new product will cost approximately 30 thousand dollars. In addition to the base variant, Kia also showed a hot GT-Line version with a sportier design and different wheels. It will be brought to market later.
