The new electric crossover Audi Q6 e-tron will receive unusual optics. Along with another portion of official photos of the Q6 e-tron, which still wears camo film, information about the equipment of the model has also appeared. The battery-powered crossover will be the first car to be based on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform, a joint development between Audi and Porsche. In addition, advanced matrix optics of the second generation with a personal “light signature” are announced for the novelty.
The Q6 e-tron will receive a personalized “light signature” – customers will be able to choose the pattern of the headlights and taillights. The lights are made up of 360-segment OLED panels that are capable of generating a new image every ten milliseconds according to a predetermined algorithm. And at the front, the car has 12-segment optics with dimmable brightness, which also creates a unique “light signature”.
It is reported that advanced optics allows you to “communicate” with other road users – for example, using light animation, you can warn the driver of an oncoming car about the dangers on the road.
It also became known that the Q6 e-tron will receive a battery with a capacity of 100 kilowatt-hours, consisting of 12 modules. According to Audi calculations, charging from 10 to 80 percent will take less than half an hour, and a 10-minute charge can increase the range by 250 kilometers. Without recharging, the Q6 e-tron is capable of driving 600 kilometers.
For the Q6 e-tron, two modifications have been announced. The basic version is equipped with two electric motors with a total capacity of 375 horsepower. In this case, you can briefly increase the return to 396 forces. A more powerful variant develops 483 hp and 510 hp with Boost mode. Such an electric car will accelerate from standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in about 4.5 seconds.
Series production of the model will start at the Ingolstadt plant during the second half of 2023, with the premiere of the Audi Q6 e-tron taking place towards the end of the year.
